CTEVT and community school curriculum will be same

Curriculum adjustment has been prepared after differences in the level of manpower produced in the technical stream by the agencies under the Ministry of Education.

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and the Center for Education and Human Resource Development have conducted technical programs in community schools. 

The technical stream curriculum prepared by the Curriculum Development Centre is being conducted in community schools from class 9 to 12. The same community schools have also conducted three-year diploma program of CTEVT after class 10.

Not only the curriculum in the school but also the teacher's grant and training is being conducted differently through the centers and CTEVT.

CTEVT programs are being conducted in community schools, its affiliated schools. At the secondary level (9-12), technical stream programs are conducted in 484 schools. Similarly, CTEVT diploma program is being taught in more than five hundred and fifty years.

Dr Hari Lamsal, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education, informed that preparations have been made internally for the adjustment of technical curriculum.

A committee consisting of Member Secretary of CTEVT, Director General of Curriculum Development Center and Member-Secretary of National Examination Board has been formed under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Adhikari, Chairman of the Board of Management of Technical Instructor Training Institute (TITI) for integration, integration and update in the curriculum. The committee was formed after discussions with Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel.

The committee has studied the pre-diploma and diploma programs in technical secondary classes 9-12 and technical and vocational training in community secondary schools. The Ministry of Education has formed a study committee to ensure universal access to technical and vocational education for all local level students.
