Himashikhar Agro and Herb Research Center in Damascus, Jhapa has distributed credit cards to farmers in collaboration with Mega Bank.
Agro Chairman Dhubra Prasad Neupane informed that credit cards were initially distributed to five farmers keeping in mind the problems of the farmers. He said that the card was distributed with the objective of providing easy and convenient loan to the farmers through digital farming system. Agro has also given information about financial literacy to the farmers in the program organized today.
The program was attended by Damak Municipality Chief Romnath Oli, Agro Chief Executive Officer Prakash Ghimire, Mega Bank's Punya Prasad Khaniya, Bank's State-1 Chief Vivek Bandhu Neupane, Damak Municipality Agriculture Branch Chief Chandrakala Bhattarai and Arjundhara Municipality's Animal Development Officer Padam Rai.
