The present government is holding its first meeting of the Council of Ministers today.
President Bidhya Devi Bhandari reappointed prime minister and ministers as per Article 76 (3) of the Constitution of Nepal.
The meeting being held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar is scheduled to discuss measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic while reviewing the ongoing efforts. It has been learnt that the Council of Ministers is also holding a discussion about amending the laws to strengthen the response process during the outbreak of the COVID-19
It may be noted that the government is also working on its annual policy and programs for the new fiscal year.
