The government has increased the budget in the health sector in fiscal year 2078/79. Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Poudel while presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2078/79 unveiled that Rs 122.77 billion has been allocated for the health sector.
The government has centralised the budget for the minimisation of coronavirus infection and has expressed that there will be no lack of budget. The government has appropriated Rs 37.53 billion for prevention, control and treatment of coronavirus infection while Rs 26.75 billion has been allocated for the vaccination campaign.
