Mayor of Birgunj Metropolitan City Vijay Kumar Sarawogi has provided Rs 200,000 for the treatment of Muskan Khatun. Khatun is an acid attack victim. She has burn injuries in her neck, abdomen, and chest. The Mayor provided assistance on learning of financial shortage for Khatun's treatment.
Sarawogi provided the amount from the Mayor Welfare Fund that he has set up donating his salary and allowances. He has also appealed for further assistance to Khatun.
