Thirty-five passengers were injured in a bus accident at Bansgadhi Municipality-3 in Bardiya this morning, two are in critical condition.
The bus (Na 5 Kha 5382) heading towards Mahendranagar from Kalikot met with an accident at around 3:15 this morning. The bus has fallen about 15 meters from the road.
The critically injured have been identified as Sheetala Upadhyaya, 11, of Triveni Gaonpalika-6 and Omna Upadhyay, 69, of Sanni Triveni Gaonpalika-7, according to the Area Police Office, Motipur.
Both have been sent to Nepalgunj Medical College in Kohalpur, Banke for treatment. Others with minor injuries have been sent to the local Kaushilya Hospital for treatment.
The bus driver is under police custody.
