An hour's journey in 20 minutes

The one-hour journey has been shortened to 20 minutes after the construction of the road connecting Raghuganga Gaonpalika-2 Baisari to Risinchautari of Myagdi. The journey time has been shortened after the construction of a short-distance road connecting Baisari to Risinchautari of Beni-Jomsom road. Local Durga Bahadur KC said that the one-hour journey was shortened to 20 minutes after the construction of the road.

"It used to take a full hour to reach Beni-Jomsom road from Risin Chautari via Ranipouwa-Piple and reach Ghumaune Lake," he said.

It took about an hour to reach Baisari from Risin Chautari on foot. The Baisari-Risin-Chautari road, which was opened last fiscal year with a budget of Rs.2million 500 thousand. 

Rajan KC, secretary of the Consumers' Committee, said that a two-kilometer road has been constructed in Baisari, including a 100-meter hill. He said that about 400 households in Risinchautari, Majhkharka, Okharbot, and other settlements have benefited from this road.

The special work has facilitated the transportation of agricultural and livestock products to the district headquarters Beni and Galeshwor as well as construction and transportation of daily necessities. It has become easier to take the patient to the hospital. Risinchautari and Majhkharka are aso pocket areas for banana cultivation. 

This road has also facilitated the transportation of construction materials to Bhagwati for development projects including houses, buildings, roads, irrigation, and drinking water from Bagar of Kaligandaki. Rim Katuwal, Ward Chairman of Raghuganga Gaonpalika-2, said that the short-distance road connecting to the highway has benefited the people of Bhagwati along with Risin Chautari.
