Ambassador Ray presents credentials to Swedish King

Non-Resident Ambassador of Nepal to the Kingdom of Sweden, Prof. Dr. Ram Swarth Ray presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty the King Carl XVI Gustaf amidst a special ceremony held at The Royal Palace of Stockholm.

After the credential ceremony held on Wednesday, Ambassador Ray had an audience with His Majesty the King. During the audience, His Majesty the King congratulated Ambassador Ray on his appointment as Ambassador and wished him a successful tenure, according to a press release issued by the Embassy of Nepal in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Ambassador conveyed His Majesty the warm greetings and best wishes from President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to His Majesty the King for his personal health and happiness and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the Kingdom of Sweden.

On the occasion, Ambassador Ray briefed His Majesty about the current economic and political situation of Nepal and the progress Nepal has made after the restoration of democracy in Nepal.

Likewise, the Ambassador met with officials of the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden including Ambassador Dag Juhlin-Dannfelt, Director- General and Head of Global Department, Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Earlier he held interactive meetings with the office bearers of Sweden Chamber of Commerce and discussed about the possibility of increasing business relations between the two countries, adds the release.
