A team of 18 people from the National Innovation Center returned to Kathmandu after completing the first phase of the Birgunj Agricultural Tools Factory in a week. More than 300 people, members of various organizations of Birgunj, school students, local residents, donated their labor.

43 of the 54 different types of machines run by electric motors were seen. All the useful items inside the factory were separated and kept in the warehouse and the junk items that were not useful were separated and kept outside. The place which was closed for 30 years was cleaned and made better. It was estimated that it would take about a month, but it was completed in a week due to people's labor donation, said Mahabir Pun, the president of the National Invention Center.

Estimates for the maintenance of 7 buildings were drawn. After checking the electrical system inside the factory, it was found that all the electrical systems need to be replaced and a rough estimate was made. The board of directors will make a report of all this work and measure and give it to the Ministry of Finance within this week. If the Ministry of Finance clears the budget, the second phase will start.

About 380,000 has been spent by the National Innovation Center for the current first phase.

72 lakh rupees to pay the old electricity bill of the factory. A new meter will not be connected until that amount is paid. Therefore, the Chairman Pun informed that after requesting the Nepal Electricity Authority to connect new meters and new lines to run the work under the name of National Innovation Center.
