Police have taken action against a total of 1,337 people who were not wearing masks during the week-long 'Health Standards and Traffic Awareness Campaign' jointly organized by the District Traffic Police Office and the District Police Office. Chief of the Traffic Police Amrit Bahadur Basnet informed that the people have been informed about the rules.
According to him, 9,000 leaflets and 2,200 masks were distributed during the period and awareness-raising flex prints were also pasted in various places. He said that Rs. 137,000 has been collected as fine from those who walk without wearing masks.
