At least 13 people were killed when a jeep carrying voters met with an accident at Waling-14 Arkhalbas in Syangja this morning.
According to Rabindra Khanal, Police Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Syangja, 13 people were killed and 12 others injured when a jeep met with an accident at Panchamool. The jeep was carrying voters from Kokhe Akhalabas of Waling Municipality-14 who were being taken to Thumpokhara polling station.
According to the locals, they had taken a jeep to reach the polling station as it takes about an hour and a half to reach the station in Akhalabas.
The injured have been shifted to Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara for further treatment. The list of the deceased and injured has not been received yet.
