The Election Commission has made it clear that the tenure of the existing House of Representatives and State House members will not automatically continue from 12:00 pm on Saturday.
The commission has decided that the closed list of candidates submitted by the political parties for the previous House of Representatives and State Assembly member elections and published by the commission will not be maintained automatically from 12 midnight on Saturday.
Shaligram Sharma Paudel, the spokesperson of the Commission, has issued a press release today stating that the Commission has informed the House of Representatives, the Provincial Assembly, the National Concerns and Coordination Committee of the Federal Parliament, the National Assembly and the political parties and has also decided to publish it in the Nepal Gazette.
