The Election Commission (EC) has approved the calendar of election activities under the first-past-the-post system for the November 20 federal and provincial poll.
As per the calendar, the candidacy nomination registration and the publication of the nomination list will take place on October 9, and the submission of the complaints against candidates on October 10.
Similarly, a decision over nomination letters and complaints will happen on October 10 and 11.
The publication of the name list of candidates will occur on October 11 and the candidacy withdrawal on October 12. Publishing the final name-list of candidates and the award of election symbols to them will take place accordingly, said the EC's Joint Spokesperson Surya Prasad Aryal in a statement on Thursday.
