Prohibition on sale and distribution of liquor in Bhaktapur

In order to hold the local level election on April 12 in a peaceful manner, the District Administration Office has issued instructions not to sell or distribute liquor in Bhaktapur during the election period.

In the District Administration Office today, Chief Election Officer Rudradevi Sharma, Chief Election Officer and Chief Justice of Bhaktpur, Gopal Prasad Bastola, District Election Office, head of all three security agencies, Nepal Telecom, Nepal Electricity Authority, District Health Office, Nepal Red Cross Society, Industry Commerce Federation, Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Nepal Journalists Conference, and concerned bodies have made various decisions to conduct the election peacefully.

The meeting has decided to prohibit the distribution and consumption of wine sales from 12 pm to 30th on the next 27th to ensure that local level elections are conducted in a clean, fair, fearless, peaceful manner. Also, Prior Sharma informed that the order would be immediately arrested and taken into action, deciding to prohibit the distribution and consumption of wine sales around the polling place until the polling station was completed.

Everyone has directed the Electricity Authority and Telecom to fully comply with the code of conduct, and supply 24 hours of electricity, telephone and internet at polling stations. On election day, the district has instructed all ambulances to be used as soon as possible, to keep them in preparation with primary care materials, and health care, and to keep the district's government and private hospitals, and health institutions in a position to provide emergency services with manpower, to keep firefighters, dodgers in preparation. 

Prior Sharma informed him that on election day, he had decided to immediately dismiss the pass by controlling water, ambulances, fireworks, coffins, hospitals, electricity services, Red Cross vehicles and vehicles other than passes, any passing vehicles found to be carrying voters. Manojkumar Thapa, Chairman of Nepal Red Cross Society Bhaktpur, said that on election day four ambulances for all four municipalities would be placed with primary care materials.  At the polling station, the local councillor has decided to recommend sending primary care materials.
