Climbers who climb Mount Everest can no longer leave excrement on Moutain. Khumbu Pasanglhamu village municipality has decided to return its excrement to the base camp spring. Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality has approved and implemented the 'Base Camp Management Procedure 2080'.

For this work, coordination has been done with the Department of Tourism. Rakesh Gurung, director of the tourism department, said that the federal, state, and local levels are working together to bring such a rule to keep Mount Everest clean.

The excrement that the climbers throw above the base camp during the mountain climbing does not rot for a long time due to the temperature of the mountains. It is said that the mountains are making them stink. According to the new arrangement, bags for carrying excreta will be distributed to the climbers who are going to climb from the next climbing season. The bag must be returned at the time of return. One bag will have a carrying capacity of 5 kg.

According to the new system, people other than the authorized climbers and assistants will not be allowed to stay in the base camp. The attached toilet cannot be placed in the sleeping tent. Tents or structures may not be erected for commercial activities. Mountain climbers must bring 8 kg of garbage to the base camp.

Box tents cannot be used above the base camp. Open camping above the base camp is prohibited. A poop bag/biodegradable bag should be used for this. The agency has to do the management of dead bodies of climbers who died in the mountains.

Operation of a commercial bar, bakery cafe, and spa is prohibited in base camp. Similarly, it is not possible to light bright and flickering lights.

There is a ban on transporting goods by helicopter above Sangboche. It has been stated that the flying and landing of helicopters have been banned except for humanitarian purposes.

Along with Everest, the procedure has been implemented in Lhotse, Nuptse, and Amadablam mountains.
