The first Nepalese Police officer to climb Mount Everest

Inspector General of Police of Nepal Basanta Bahadur Kunwar handed over the Interpol flag to Interpol President Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi. He handed over the flag brought from the summit of Mount Everest at the "Head of NCB Conference" organized by the Interpol Secretariat.

On behalf of Nepal, the 100th member of Interpol, which was established in 1923, Senior Sub Inspector Purushottam Nepali of Nepal Police successfully climbed the world's highest peak Everest and hoisted the flag of Nepal Police and Interpol along with the national flag of Nepal at the peak on behalf of Nepal, the 100th member of Interpol.

 In the past, the Nepal Police established a mountain climbing branch and conducted mountain climbing of different heights. But that branch is not active at present.

Purushottam Nepali, a resident of Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality, Lukla, had a goal of climbing mountains from an early age. After entering the police service, which had work experience in different places. He had previously climbed Lobuche Himal.

He said that his mountain climbing campaign was successful in conveying the message that Nepal's tourism sector is safe.

He aims to publish a book about his experiences in the mountains.

Purushottam Nepali, who has made a name for himself as a songwriter, has also written a song about Mount Everest. He also released a song written in memory of Pasanglhamu Sherpa, the first Nepali woman who succeeded in climbing Mount Everest, at the summit of Mount Everest.

He also worked as a communicator for 9 years in Traffic FM run by Traffic Police.
