Ms. Watanabe Naoko usually works as a nurse and is a mountain lover.
But that is not all.
She started climbing at the age of three and now she is the first Japanese female to have successfully summited 13 peaks of mountains in the world higher than 8,000m, and is aiming for her 14th summit.
She has visited Nepal many times and, during her stay in Kathmandu this time, she called on Ambassador Kikuta, who also loves trekking. They exchanged views on mountains and mountain climbing in Japan and Nepal.
