A team of 11 climbers reached the top of the world's 12th highest mountain Broad Peak (8051m), located in Karakorum, this morning.

According to the Seven Summitreks, With this ascent, kristin.harila and Tenjen Sherpa managed to climb 13 eight-thousand-meter peaks out of 14. Kristin is on her project of the "Fastest 14 Peaks" along with Sherpa Tenjen, and they now only have one peak (K2) left to accomplish the feat and break the world record.
Nima Rinji Sherpa, in this mission to climb all 14 peaks in his teen age, completed his 7th 8000er by climbing Broad Peak with Pasang Nurbu.
