New Road Team (NRT) has added its first point in the Qatar Airways Martyrs' Memorial 'A' Division League. Playing a goalless draw with Brigade Boys Club (BBC), NRT added the first point from the second game.
In a disappointing match played at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar on Monday, both the teams could not score a significant goal. In the 50th minute, Dinesh Rai's shot was missed by Akasida BBC. In the 60 th minute, Sujan Gurung's shot from outside the penalty box could not be saved. In the 61st minute, Mesuke Olumou's cross was misused.
In the 65 th minute, goalkeeper Ajit Prajapati saved Dinesh's shot from inside the penalty box. In the 85th minute, Daddy Jr. Wamba's header was misused. Rudy's shot was saved by NRT goalkeeper Ajit in the second minute of injury time.
After the draw, NRT has reached 1 point from two games. Unbeaten BBC has 4 points from two games. In the first match, BBC defeated Nepal APF Football Club 3-2. In the first match, NRT lost 2-1 to defending champions Machhindra.
The final match of the second round of the league will be played today between the winners of Savik, Machhindra Football Club and Tribhuvan Army Football Club at 4.45 pm. While Machhindra is looking for the second consecutive victory, the Army will be aiming for the first victory. Machhindra defeated NRT 2-1 in the first match while Army drew 1-1 with Police in the departmental derby.
