Nepal gave Canada a target of 225 runs

 In the first match of the three-match one-day cricket series, Nepal has given a target of 225 runs to Canada for victory.

After winning the toss and batting first at the cricket ground in Kirtipur, Nepal scored 224 runs for losing all wickets in the scheduled 50 overs.

Opener Kushal Bhurtal played a half-century inning of 62 runs for Nepal. Arif Sekh scored 38 runs, Sompal Kami scored 27 runs, Kushal Malla scored 20 runs, Bhim Sarki scored 17 runs, Pawan Sarraf scored 15 runs and Surya Tamang scored 10 runs.

Canada's Uday Bhagwan took three wickets. Saad Win Zafar and Ishwarjot Sohi took two wickets each and Sahit Amdzai and Harsha Thaker took one wicket each.

The second match between Nepal and Canada will be played on February 10 and the final match will be played on February 12.
