The Janapriya Secondary School has won the second Dovan Cup inter-school girls football tournament.
After the match ended in a goalless draw, Janapriya Mavi defeated New West Point Residential Secondary School by 4-2 in a penalty shootout.
The '9 a side' football tournament was organised by New Dovan Youth Club in memory of its late former president Ananta Giri. The first and second teams in the competition have been awarded with trophies, medals and certificates along with Rs 45,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
Upendra Giri, president of the Dovan Youth Club, shared that the competition was organized with the aim of attracting female students to the game of football. A total of 10 teams participated in the competition.
