According to the Kathmandu District Tennis Association, about 250 players will participate in the 8th Citizens Bank Open Tennis Tournament which will be held from April 25. There will be 10 different categories in the competition: men's/women's singles, mixed doubles, men's veterans over 35, over 45 and over 55 singles and doubles and over 65 singles.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of all the competitions. The total cash prize amount is Rs. 517,000. Citizens Bank is the main sponsor of the competition. According to the organizers, the seven-day tournament will be played on the courts of the Tripureshwor-based National Sports Council and the Bhadrakali-based Army Officers' Club.
