Annual general meeting of Nepal Cricket Association (NCA) has been postponed. CAN posted the status on social network on Thursday evening stating that the general meeting scheduled for next week has been postponed.
The last board meeting of CAN had decided to hold a general meeting in Dhangadhi on January 8 and 9. However, CAN stated that they had to postponed the meeting as requested by some district associations, who have completed their four-year term. So they made a request for general assembly to take place only after the convention.
As requests have been received from some of the 39 districts under the CAN to convene a central general meeting only after the district convention, the CAN has coordinated with the National Sports Council and ICC to fix a new date from the next board meeting of the association. "Everyone involved in the deferred transaction will be informed," the union said in a statement.
