CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that his party has led development and prosperity in the past and will continue to do so in the future. He mentioned that a lot of development work has been done during the UML-led government in the New Year exchange program organized by the UML Mahalakshmi Municipal Committee at Siddhipur in Lalitpur today.
He said that the UML had won the hearts of the people by carrying out development work while leading the government after the political change in 2072 BS. He said, "Even now if the UML leadership comes at all three levels, the aspirations of the people for prosperity can be fulfilled."
UML has been giving special respect and reservation to those who need help in society, said former Prime Minister Oli. He said that the social security allowance for senior citizens was brought by the UML-led government and increased in time. He said that people with physical disabilities, disabled and single women preferred UML.
Chairman Oli said that while he was leading the government, he had replaced Tuin and started the construction of a suspension bridge in the area. He claimed that the last time he led the government, he had widened many roads across the country. He mentioned that Lalitpur has been under the control of the Left in the past. UML Potiburo member Mahesh Basnet said that the party leadership should work together for the victory of the party at all local levels of the Lalitpur district.
