CPN (Maoist Centre) chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal said science and technology were instrumental to take society to equity, socialism, and justice.
Dahal, also the former Prime Minister, said this while addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 10th Science Day in the capital on Saturday,
"Science advocates for truth and factual things and stands for equality and justice", he argued.
Traditional dogma often adopts divide and rule by inculcating values of discrimination, disrespect, and hierarchy, the former prime minister asserted, calling for coordinated efforts against such a tendency.
He also underlined the need to create wider discourse on science and technology within the country.
He claimed that big contributions could be made to the prosperity of society and nation through the application of science and technology. ---
