The CPN Masal (Liaison Centre) has been united with the CPN (Maoist Centre).

At a unity assembly today, Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Masal (Liaison Centre) coordinator Lokendra Lamsal announced the unification between two parties.

In his address to the gathering, the leader Chair insisted on the need for unity among the Communist forces to defeat a foul play of regressive forces in the nation. “Regressive forces are trying to invalidate the achievements of people’s struggles.”

Conspiracies are being hatched to overturn the republic, he said, adding that the feudalistic force which was defeated by the people’s war and movement and characters bargaining against the national independence are provoking the regression,” he said.

“Parties in favour of progression and revolutionary leftist forces are being united,” he said, adding that the achievements of people’s sacrifices would never be allowed to be reversed.

“We have no ground of being confident of the protection of historic accomplishments,” the leader said, adding that parties in favour of progression and revolutionary and leftist forces have to further unite to counter the conspiracy against the historic achievements.

Similarly, Masal (Liaison Centre) coordinator Lamsal said the objective of the two parties was for stepping towards the establishment of scientific socialism. As he informed the gathering, the Liaison Committee has its organisations in 39 districts and liaison offices in six districts.
