The meeting of the Central Committee members of the Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction of CPN-UML has concluded.
During the meeting held today, the majority of members decided to form a new party citing that condition to stay together with the faction led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had ended. However, some members opined that they should not take prompt action to separate the party as the effort was ongoing to bring both factions together.
The Central Committee members were of the view that the party should not delay further in framing an action plan and implementing it to take the party forward.
The virtual meeting that began on Thursday has decided to issue a press statement on Saturday regarding the decision taken by Nepal-led faction of CPN UML.
