NC leads poll results followed by UML

The vote count for the May 13 local election across the country continues. As per updates until 8 pm on Wednesday, results of 485 local levels excluding 28 local levels of 17 districts where reelection took place following a halt have come out.

As per the latest updates, the Nepali Congress has won the highest number of mayoral seats in 68 municipalities followed by the CPN (UML) securing a win at 38 seats. Likewise, the NC is the leading vote count in 74 municipalities and the UML in 39.

Likewise, the CPN (Maoist Center) has won 14 mayor seats and is leading in nine municipalities. The CPN (Unified Socialist) secured a win at three seats and is ahead in eight municipalities. Other contestants including independent ones won seven seats and are leading in 26 municipalities.

The NC has emerged victorious at 57 deputy mayor seats and is leading in 40 municipalities. Likewise, the UML has won 45 seats and is ahead in 60 municipalities. The Maoist Center has secured a win at 21 seats and is leading in 11 municipalities while the Unified Socialist won five seats and is ahead in four. Others have won three seats and are leading in 20 municipalities.

The NC has secured a win in 150 seats for chair of rural municipalities and is ahead in 29 rural municipalities.

Likewise, the UML has won 99 seats and is leading in 25 rural municipalities. The Maoist Center has emerged victorious in 81 seats and is ahead in 10 while the Unified Socialist has won 10 seats and is leading in 10. Others have won 15 seats and are leading in 12.

The NC has won 145 seats for vice-chair of rural municipalities and is leading in 34 rural municipalities. Similarly, the UML has secured a win at 97 seats and is ahead in 27 rural municipalities.

The Maoist Center has emerged victorious in 81 seats and is leading in seven while the Unified Socialist has won 10 seats and is ahead in seven. Others have secured a win in 13 seats and are leading in 11.
