NC announces additional protest programs

The Nepali Congress has made public that they will conduct further protest programmes. The central working committee of the party held a meeting on Tuesday and decided to conduct protest programmes in all 77 districts on February 1 and February 6.

The sister organizations of the party will hold protest programmes on February 1 and the well-wishers on February 6.

Similarly, the district working committee of the party will hold protest programme focusing on district headquarters on February 15, said Krishna Prasad Poudel, chief secretary at NC party office.

Meanwhile, the NC condemned the use of force by the government against the peaceful protests organised by the civil society in the federal capital. It also wished a speedy recovery to those injured.

The NC mentioned that the recent public expression of the prime minister did not suit his position. It also congratulated 10 Nepali climbers including Nirmal Purja who scaled Mount K2, the second-highest peak in the world.
