Nepali Congress MP Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that some reforms should be made in the law to make the local level effective.
In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, he also urged the farmers to pay attention to whether they will get fertilizer or not, whether they will get treatment easily when they are sick.
Stating that the economy is in trouble, Thapa said that steps should be taken to solve the problem as the trade deficit has increased. He said that if the government announces that it will not import anything that will disrupt the US dollar reserves, it will instill confidence in the people as well.
He clarified that the government should move towards not importing helicopters, pepper, corn and any other goods. MP Thapa said that attention should be paid to increase exports as imports cannot be stopped. He clarified that the government should move ahead in a way to prove everything.
MP Thapa said that the government should also provide relief to the consumers to address the pressure on the price of petroleum products.
MP Thapa thanked the government for pointing out the issues of pavement expansion, construction and rehabilitation in the Kathmandu Valley.
