The CPN UML is going to bear the cost of senior leader JhalanathKhanal’s treatment. A meeting of the organising committee of the party’s 10th general convention that was held at the prime minister’s residence today decided to bear the treatment cost of Khanal. Apparently, this was the last meeting of the organising committee as it was terminated today.
During the meeting, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the chairperson of CPN UML, announced that the party would bear the responsibility of paying for Khanal’s treatment.
At present Khanalis being treated at the Apollo Hospital in New Delhi of India.
Khanal was initially taken to Norvic International Hospital in Thapathali, Kathmandu, on June 14 after he complained of weakness and was admitted to the same hospital on the recommendation of the doctors. He was later taken to New Delhi for further treatment on June 16.
