Coalition and UML leading in Pokhara

In the ongoing counting of votes under the local level member election-2022, the ruling coalition and the CPN (UML) candidate have taken the lead in the post of Pokhara Metropolitan Chief and Deputy Chief respectively.

While one lakh 22 thousand 219 votes have been counted so far, Dhanraj Acharya of the CPN (Unified Socialist) has received 49 thousand 241 votes. Similarly, CPN (UML) chief candidate Krishna Bahadur Thapa has received 45,262 votes. Acharya of the alliance has secured the lead with 3,979 votes.

UML's Manju Devi Gurung is leading with 51,589 votes while Nepali Congress candidate Kopila Ranabhat is following her with 48,492 votes.

Nepali Congress has won in 18 wards of Pokhara, which has 33 wards, while UML has won in seven wards. Counting of votes in wards 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 31, 32 and 33 of the metropolis is underway.
