Campaign on to make party revolutionary: Chair Dahal

Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said a campaign was launched to make the party revolutionary after the completion of its eighth national convention.

At the Gandaki Province level political and ideological orientation programme of the party here Sunday, Chairperson Prachanda viewed it was clear that the Maoist leadership was imperative for change and the country's development. "Various elements are machinating to sap Maoist of strength. But the weakened state of Maoist will shadow the agenda of change and achievements made so far. All leaders and cadres in the party must involve in the campaign to strengthen the party," he underscored.

According to him, a new form of the party is possible with its transformation. The Maoist Centre is always against regression. So, the agenda of transformation must not be ditched, he added.

Chairperson Prachanda was of the view that local level election is the do-or-die situation for the Maoist Centre, so the expansion of organization building programmes is imperative. It can be done by reaching the doorsteps of every people across the country.

The Maoist Centre is launching an election campaign after completing the orientation soon.

At the programme, senior leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha viewed that the major responsibility of the party at present is to ensure electoral victory.

The orientation programme was facilitated by leader Dev Gurung, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Devendra Poudel, province committee in-charge Hitraj Pande, and others.
