CPN UML Vice-chairperson Bamdev Gautam has said he is going to join the CPN UML (Socialist) led by Madhav Kumar Nepal.
During the virtual meeting of the "National campaign for party unity" led by Gautam, the CPN UML Vice-chairperson decided to join the CPN UML (Socialist), according to his secretariat member Shailendra Raut.
Gautam said he would lead the unity of leftists from the new party. He claimed that all the leftists except for UML could be brought together in the party.
Gautam argued that the faction of CPN UML led by chairperson KP Sharma Oli had not accorded him any responsibility. He said, "In a party meeting, I will first ask him to give me the responsibility of uniting the party led by Madhav Kumar Nepal." He said leader Nepal would accord him with the responsibility of uniting party although Oli did not."
