Urmila Aryal of the CPN Maoist Center has been registered as candidate for the position of the Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly.
Her proponents include Narayankaji Shrestha, Devendra Dahal and Khimlal Devkota. Since the Nepali Congress has also decided not to contest, there is a possibility that Aryal will be elected unopposed.
She is from Parsa, who was the leader of the UML in the past, later joined the Maoists.
