68% vaccinated in Bagmati

68% have so far been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus in Bagmati.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, 1.872 million 707 people have been fully vaccinated in the state.

According to the ministry, 6,01,913 people have been vaccinated with the first dose, and the second dose remains to be administered. Ministry spokesperson Basanta Adhikari informed that the number of vaccinations has increased in recent days. The number of people getting the first and second doses of vaccine has increased after the government made the vaccine available in sufficient quantity. It is said that 7 lakh 83 thousand 31 people are yet to be vaccinated in the state. Covishield, Verosell, Estrazonic, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines have been given against corona infection.

Meanwhile, the public health office in Makwanpur has stated that there is sufficient vaccine against corona in the Makwanpur district. According to the office, 59 percent of the people in the district have been vaccinated against corona. The highest percentage is 88% in the Hetauda sub-metropolis. In rural and remote hilly areas, 24 to 30 percent have been vaccinated against corona. According to the office, 59 percent of the people in the district have been vaccinated once and 51 percent have been fully vaccinated.

The district has a population of 34,647 over the age of 18 and the aim is to vaccinate everyone against corona in the current fiscal year, said Laxman Ghimire, information officer of the office.
