Actor Paul Shah has been remanded in custody for trial by the district court on Thursday.
A single bench of Justice Harish Chandra Dhungana has ordered to send the actor to jail for trial on the charge of rape, said Min Bahadur Kunwar, senior judge of Tanahu District Court.
In the same case, Krishna Joshi, who is said to be Shah's manager, has been ordered to be released on bail of Rs 100,000 said Kunwar. Joshi has been released on bail this evening.
After the case was registered in the Tanahu court on the charge of raping a minor, there was a debate between the two sides against actor Shah. The plaintiff had argued on Wednesday while the defendant had argued in court today. Advocate Bhanubhakta Subedi informed that 12 legal practitioners argued on behalf of the defendants.
