Kathmandu Metropolitan City has issued a notice that smoking is prohibited in public areas from September 17.
The Office of the Metropolitan City has issued a notification and informed that from Saturday, cigarettes, cigars, tobacco, raw tobacco, or similar types should not be sold in public places.
According to the metropolis, action will be taken and a fine needs to be paid, to those who fail to obey.
