PM Dahal instructs APF to move ahead with strategy

 Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal directed the Armed Police Force (APF) to minutely study the matters concerning national security and its challenges, and move ahead with timely security strategy.

At a graduation ceremony of the APF's police inspector training at the APF Training Academy in Matatirtha, Kathmandu on Sunday, PM Dahal drew the attention of APF towards delivering public service and security within the remit of the prevailing laws and the constitution of Nepal. To tackle and address the multidimensional challenges coming out of misuse of the ever-evolving information technology in future, PM Dahal suggested the APF to emphasize capacity building of its human resources and devising more effective plans.

The PM asserted that the enhancing capacity of the security personnel, availability of resources, strong organization system and management were important aspects to make the APF's delivery more specific and effective. Stating that the APF should be further developed as a modern and professional security agencies, he viewed that attention should be paid in the areas of advancement, improvement and reforms in the areas, such as human resources, physical infrastructures and others.

He also argued that it was necessary to cultivate and build leadership among the human resources so as to discharge specific, important and special task related duties and responsibilities.

The Head of the Government pledged utmost support towards this end.

Dahal acknowledged the intensive role being played by the APF in the internal security, disaster management, epidemic control, revenue patrol and customs security among others and lauded the organization for delivery on the responsibilities entrusted with the State with professional integrity, discipline and honesty.

On the occasion, the PM extended thankfulness to the APF for its efficient performance regardless of adverse weather, geographical remoteness and resources crunch.
