The ban issued in Kathmandu Valley is likely to be extended. A meeting of the Chief District Officers of the three districts of the Valley is being held to decide on this issue. A meeting of the Chief District Officers (CDOs) of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur will be held to decide whether or not to extend the ban.

A meeting of Corona Crisis Management Center (CCMC) has also been convened today after the meeting of CDOs. The CCMC meeting is expected to review last year's infection and mortality rates and make further decisions.

In the restraining order issued last year, all types of vehicles except the essential ones were banned from operating after 8 pm after discussions with the concerned bodies. The injunction added last week is coming to an end tonight at 12 noon.

Though the ban issued in the Kathmandu Valley since April 29 is gradually being relaxed, the ban is still in place in cinema halls, gyms, schools, monasteries and other public places.
