Ferris Hadad Jervos, country director of the World Bank, had a courtesy meeting with President Ramchandra Paudel.
In a meeting held at Rashtrapati Bhawan Shitalniwas on Wednesday, President Paudel appreciated the support of the World Bank, which has been Nepal's development partner for the past four decades, in Nepal's economic development and poverty reduction.
He expected the bank to assist in reducing the negative impact Nepal has to face due to climate change. According to President Paudel's personal secretariat, the effect of climate change on Nepal's Himalayas should be a matter of concern and concern not only for Nepal but also for the world.
At that meeting, Director Jervos said that the cooperation between Nepal and the World Bank is strong.
